I want to like these, and kinda do ... but

Think for the price these appear, and look, and feel as good value for the money. Good quality. I think they run a little large and that adds to the minor problem I have. Their .. heavy, and have only two eyelets for the laces, so the shoe adds tightness just on the top of your foot but this leaves everything so loose around your ankle. It took me a while to get used to this. I've work to work a few times and they still feel weird. I think I'm warming up to them, and really like they way they look, but they're certainly not an ideal feeling or comfort.

Really enjoy the boots as they are. They fit well, and are fairly comfortable. Unfortunately these folks were smart enough to put several stickers on the bottom of the left boot. Wear them every day, walk a lot in dirt, gravel, etc. one would think the adhesive would come off eventually. After trying nail polish remover, alcohol, peroxide, warm water, even sand paper, the adhesive is still so sticky it tries pulling my carpet up with it. Word of advise to the makers of this product: do not put sales stickers on leather. Especially on the bottom of a boot. The adhesive doesn’t come off. Pass on ordering their products again, and all due to something as silly as impossible to remove adhesive. Shame.

Nice but weird sizing and quality variance

These boots are great if you get a good pair but I experienced 2 caveats.

1) They run ridiculously big. I wear a 11.5-12 in most brands but I ended up with 10.5 for these after returning two other pairs that were too large

2) The quality seems to vary considerably from pair to pair. Once I finally found the right size, I ordered a second pair because I liked it so much. Unfortunately the second pair that arrived was made of a MUCH worse quality leather that looked terrible compared to the first pair I bought. The first good quality pair just said "Clarks" on the insole whereas the second poorer quality pair said "Collection by Clarks" on the insole. So just be aware you might be rolling the dice as it seems they downgraded it considerably for the "Collection by Clarks" version.

These are pretty tight across the top of my foot, but hopefully will loosen up over time. They also have very little insole cushioning. Not at all like the first pair of Clarks i bought many years ago for hiking that were sooo comfortable and lasted forever. I certainly didn't intend these for hiking, but i expected "Clarks comfort" since i intend to walk quite a bit in them during the course my workday. Glad i waited til the price got way down.

if your a size 11 go for a 10 if u wear thin socks or go a half size smaller if u wear a thicker sock. I would recommend wearing a thicker sock anyway because they are not the most comfortable boot. I would buy or use a more comfortable sole from another shoe. Your feet will hurt if you want to walk around.

Not built as well as other Clark shoes. Feel like the took out some of the cushion and support to less the price for Amazon. Not what you would get in the store...but price is less and still a good shoe. If you try to use inserts, careful...the toe area is kind of flat and might not give you enough room for you feet with a full insert.

The boot is as shown, I received the beeswax color which is a nice medium brown oiled leather. It would be a great casual shoe, but the wide toe box and toe area upon trying them on was what led me to return them in the end. I wouldn't have been super unhappy if I kept them, but found something that suited my style a bit better. Comfort when wearing them around the house for a few hours was ok but not great since theres minimal padding, but I've heard they take a little to really break in.

For sizing, I would recommend going 1/2-1 size smaller than your usual shoe size. I typically wear men's US 12 and the size 11 ordered fit me pretty well, but I could have gotten away with a 11.5 as well I think.

First pair I bought were true to size, softer leather, were much more comfortable. Second set I bought (this purchase; exact same style and size) was a half-size to one size too large, leather seemed much thinner/stiffer and overall are much less comfortable.
