Left foot prone to injury in thos shoe

I bought these for work, once in 2022 and before in 2018 (which I discovered later browsing my past purchases). I wear them 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and am on my feet for the entire time. They would probably last longer than six months, but I can't keep wearing them.

Recently, my left foot along my ankle and smallest toe became prone to injury wearing this shoe to work. And I remembered this happening before in 2018, so badly that I went to see a podiatrist who recpmmended I buy mew shoes. I wish I had remembered which shoes exactly they were.

Everything else about these shoes has been fine, except for this one strange detail. This hasn't happened with other skechers shoes or other work shoes. I had forgotten about the first pair until I noticed this same problem. I dont expect this would be a serious problem for other people, but I do find it strange.

Working in a restaurant kitchen environment, I need to not slide around corners and I definitely need to stop before colliding into someone holding an order about to go out. These shoes have been like trying to walk on ice.

Let me start by saying I work on my feet in an environment where slip resistance is a must.

I bought these because some years back I had a different pair of Skechers that were some of the best shoes I’ve ever owned. I liked them so much I decided to order them again, only to find they were discontinued. I settled on these as a replacement, but despite my best hopes, they just aren’t quite the same.

Far from it, in fact. As far as the slip resistance goes, they’re fine, but they really lack in comfort and fit compared to other Skechers I’ve had. Though I ordered the same size as in the past, I found these to be much narrower in the toe – so much so that it causes minor pain in my big toe after a few hours of wear. They also lack arch support, which causes not only my feet but also my back to ache after a long shift.

Since I couldn’t send these back (in my job, wearing them for even an hour would make this impossible) and I didn’t want to spend any more money, I went ahead and suffered with them for about three months. By the end of that time my back was constantly sore and I started developing plantar fasciitis again – something I hadn’t dealt with in years thanks to proper footwear. The shoes also started showing some noteworthy signs of wear; more than I would’ve expected in that short a time. I’m really hard on my shoes, but these do not seem to me like they were built to last.

At the very least, these weren’t as expensive as some other slip resistant shoes can be. I guess I got what I paid for.

I am a sketchers for life kind of guy. The past 2 pair of shoes I wore that were Sketchers were some of the best of my life. But these, are average at best and disappointing. The soles and the bottom of the shoes are more of a hard plastic. Let me tell you, they are horrible in the snow. The shoes are still stiff after using them for a month or so... and to finish this off, they are not very stylish. I am now looking for a new pair of sketchers because these just will not do... but I imagine for basic use away from snow or wet surfaces, they would be good enuogh.

I purchased this item less than a month ago as work requests non sleep shoes, for deli department. It fits correct and its comfortable enough to work, walk and stand, but they look like they are cheaply made or something. after three weeks of wearing the right shoe tore off. I understand the convenient price , but stil, at leass 3 -4 months life, not 3 weeks . So I have to say it , I am disappointed, I don't know if I wold recommend this to my friends or family.

I normally wear size 14, but these were too small and narrow. I can even get away with 13s and some shoes, and that’s usually all that’s available. I’ve gotten Skechers before, but this didn’t fit the same.
