Designs a bit tricky to make

This set comes with a variety of different shaped bricks, including wheels, which my 2.5yr old was very excited about. It also includes a leaflet with different designs you can build with the bricks.

Unfortunately the designs aren't entirely clear, and I struggled to get the bricks to hold together in the way the pictures suggested. My son was a bit unhappy that the train kept falling apart!

Creating your own designs - the bricks are well made and do stick together in most cases - very similar to the brand name.

They are packaged in a cardboard slide out tray (with a corner cut out) within a cardboard box, with 3 pieces in a plastic insert to show through a window in the box.

To be honest they've been ignored since they arrived, other than the opening and first play, I probably wouldn't buy again.

They are amazing, quality is really good they are durable, they dont break easily at all! My children love them, they are very entertaining, great for imagination skills, easy to take apart & put away again once played with, definitely my go to toys for rainy days or keeping the children entertained.

Stickle Bricks™ are how this product made by Soulmemes™ are described in the product information, Hedgehog Blocks™ on the packaging, presumably because the former constitutes a trademark. An alternative to the one of the world's most popular block-based toys, these bricks allow you to do pretty much everything with a construction-based theme that brand leader can, just limited by imagination and the quantity of bricks you have at your disposal. Containing 112 brightly coloured blocks of varying sizes and colours, these were handed to my five year-old grandson following receipt for review under the Amazon Vine programme. It didn't take long for bricks to be everywhere, and a mixture of airplanes, vehicles and buildings as wide as his imagination could be stretched to start appearing.

This is the type of toy to actively promote learning; particularly giving spatial awareness and making the grey cells work overtime as the creative juices get flowing. As proud grandparents we actively want to give toys that promote STEM thinking, and this style of toy is one of the best types there is to encourage creativity whilst teaching geometric 3D shapes. I had similar blocks as a child and remember many, many hours spent building and rebuilding the blocks to make a new toy and design some sort of made up game around whatever the result was. Anything that occupies is a real bonus for the hard-pressed parents trying to keep an enthusiastic child from the jaws of potentially disruptive boredom in the long summer holidays and dark winter evenings.

Aimed at 3 year-olds and upwards the versatility of the toy means that even older kids will get something from it. The product information states “Each building block is made of non-toxic and elastic plastic material” and given the target age range its good to see the following quality marks on the bottom of the box:

• EU CE mark confirming that it is completely safe for children above 3 and means that it is manufactured from non-toxic materials, with smooth, rounded edges featured throughout.
• The new post-Brexit UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking
• The standard recycle mark
• The warning sign symbolising unsuitable for 0-3 years, almost certainly because child of these ages could choke on small parts

The advantage of this type of block is that due to the use of soft bristles they are capable of sticking together easily at any angle, so it would be easy to create, say a roof pitched at 45º. The range of sizes gives flexibility too – see picture. The plastic used is brightly coloured attracting attention as well as making them easier to find when liberally strewn over a floor, but not garishly so like many toys can be. The packaging is largely cardboard, easily and readily recycled at the kerbside which is a big plus from me as a committed recycler, although there is a plastic window and internal packaging to hold the bricks in place for transit which will also recycle. Indeed, when the toy is finally finished with the bricks will also happily recycle – not being black plastic even the recycling centre’s automatic sorter should be capable of recognising this plastic. At £39.99 this isn’t the cheapest toy out there, but it certainly will be one of those a child returns to again and again meaning ir offers great value for money.

A lovely product, kids can learn a lot from it such as size, shapes, colours and the feel of different things, great stacking ability, will fit into one another very easily, makes a great gift for the kids, fits all themes, keeps them interested and engaged, highly recommend! Very well packed, easy to build, unique, cheap and cheerful.

Sensory sticle brick fun!

Perfect addition to my little ones toy box, they're bright and bold coloured and played with for hours in our home.
We haven't mastered making the 3D structures as my little one is still a little young for that yet, but that is just a bonus and will i imagine be just as fun as how they're played with now, which is a lot of stacking them up and knocking it over.
I like that the set lets kids be creative with their builidng and they're great for developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
This is a good quality product all-round and great fun, especially if paired with different packs as it adds just a little extra colour and style options.
Highly recommend for any creative little ones who are eager to learn and play!

Strong and brightly coloured. The blocks are very interesting and help build up skills for children of any age even the youngest like my grandson.
Enough pieces to join and construct a number of provided model Ideas or choose your own designs.
Just like the stickle bricks of the past but have the tendency to come apart easily.

A nice large box of essentially Stickle Bricks. Safe for all ages and easy to stick together and take apart. Depending on your set you'll get wheels which adds an extra dimension for play.

Good value as they are well made and there are lots of bits in the box.

This is a quality set of building blocks. Lovely bright colours and lots of different shapes and sizes. They stick together with ease and hold in place. Hours of imagination fun play building a variety of things. The blocks are strong and sturdy. A great quantity to build with. Would be perfect to gift someone
